Kids in the Kitchen

If you have kids, and not enough time to get everything done in a day, teach them the life skill of cooking.

It gives them a freedom of expression, and it gives you lots of opportunities to teach cleaning up after yourself!

This is my 13 year old son. He's turning into a pretty good cook.
And a handsome one too! :)

Lunch was leftover chili, leftover pea salad, and potato salad.
This is a good food combination. The beans were sprouted before I cooked them, so they are more of a vegetable now and less prone to causing gas. This batch of chili actually wasn't as good as it looks though. An experiment sorta went wrong. :(  Let's just say that you should cook the beans BEFORE you cook them in the chili. Now you know!

Dinner was a huge bowl of pasta salad. Normally the pasta would not be that white stuff, but we are in food storage consuming mode and that is what there was. That was the last of it though.
